NIDAC Inaugural National Indigenous Drug and Alcohol Conference.

NIDAC 2010 LISTENING, LEARNING & LEADING 16-18TH JUNE 2010 ADELAIDE CONVENTION CENTRE SOUTH AUSTRALIA Across Australia, there are a number of people, organisations and communities working together to address Indigenous alcohol and drug issues and associated harm. Recognising that harmful alcohol and other drug use contributes significantly to the poor health outcomes of Indigenous Australians, the continuing capacity and quality of these efforts is contingent on learning good practices and skills, building a local workforce and strengthening Indigenous communities to respond effectively. The National Indigenous Drug and Alcohol Conference aims to assist and contribute to further develop the capacity of those working to address these harms in meaningful and practical ways. The Conference will also showcase and celebrate the quiet efforts and achievements of those striving to improve the health and well being of our communities. It is a time for listening, learning and leading the way on what can be accomplished on this important health and social issue within Australia.
